The newest College Football Playoff rankings came out on Tuesday night, and there are 5 teams in the top 12 from the SEC. One of the biggest talking points is how many 2-loss SEC teams are going to be in the CFP.

On CBS Sports College football, this topic was brought up and the analysts named the team most likely to be left out with 2 losses.

Analysts Aaron Taylor, Rick Neuheisel and Randy Cross all have the Texas A&M Aggies on the outside looking in when the final CFP rankings hit, while Brian Jones isn’t liking what he is seeing from Georgia.

The Aggies already have 2 losses on the season, and their regular-season finale against Texas could have major implications in both the SEC as well as the CFP. Neuheisel thinks the Aggies will win that game in College Station, but then go on to lose in the SEC Championship game and then will miss the playoffs.

Tennessee and Georgia is the biggest SEC game this weekend. If the Bulldogs win that game, then the Volunteers will be added to the list of 2-loss. However, a loss for the Bulldogs and their hopes of being in the playoffs will be all but eliminated.
