CBS Sports analysts always share their predictions for the biggest games ahead of each week. Week 11 is no different, and the analysts shared their predictions for a much-anticipated battle between Alabama and LSU.
The panel of 4 analysts was split on this game, with 2 choosing LSU and 2 choosing Alabama. Aaron Taylor and Rick Neuheisel see the Crimson Tide picking up another resume-boosting win in Week 11.
“I like Alabama in this game a little bit more,” said Taylor. “They’re coming off their best-rushing game of the season.” Taylor also doubts LSU’s chances due to the poor play of Garrett Nussmeier against Texas A&M.
“It’s hard for me to get Nussmeier’s play in that last game (vs. Texas A&M) out of my mind.”

Neuheisel agreed with Taylor’s sentiment and also chose the Tide to win this game.
“When you factor in that LSU cannot run the football, they are last in the SEC in running the football, and that puts extra pressure on Garrett Nussmeier.”
Meanwhile, Randy Cross and Brian Jones see an LSU victory at home. Alabama won the last meeting between these teams in 2023 and has won 8 of the last 10 meetings overall.
Entering this game, the Tide are 6-2 overall with a 3-2 mark in SEC play. The Tigers, meanwhile, are also 6-2 overall with a 3-1 record in conference play.
This rivalry matchup will kick off from Tiger Stadium on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
