CBS Sports revealed its list of the top 10 coaches in the country Tuesday and 4 resided in the SEC.
Below are the SEC inclusions:
- Nick Saban, Alabama – No. 1
- Kirby Smart, Georgia – No. 2
- Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M – No. 5
- Brian Kelly, LSU – No. 7
Saban and Smart at No. 1 and 2 is not surprising. Here’s how the rest of the pack filled out:
- No. 3 – Dabo Swinney, Clemson
- No. 4 – Lincoln Riley, USC
- No. 6 – Ryan Day, Ohio State
- No. 8 – Kyle Wittingham, Utah
- No. 9 – Jim Harbaugh, Michigan
- No. 10 – Mike Gundy, Oklahoma State

Mark Stoops, Lane Kiffin and Sam Pittman cracked the top 25 as well. Stoops ranked at No. 16, Kiffin at No. 18 and Pittman at No. 22, per CBS Sports.
