The 2020 NBA Draft has been pushed back to October, but when it eventually takes place, a number of SEC players will be in the mix to be Round 1 picks.
This week, CBS Sports analyst Kyle Boone updated his Round 1 projections, and he included 5 SEC stars.
As you can see below, he has Georgia star Anthony Edwards slated to go No. 1 overall to the Warriors:
- No. 1 — Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia — Golden State Warriors
- No. 4 — Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn — Atlanta Hawks
- No. 10 — Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt — Phoenix Suns
- No. 15 — Kira Lewis Jr., G, Alabama — Orlando Magic
- No. 16 — Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky — Minnesota Timberwolves
Will these guys actually go in Round 1? We’ll see as the pre-draft process continues to work itself out.
