A lot can change in the College Football Playoff landscape over the next month-plus. But for now, it’s clear which four teams are currently the best in the nation.

CBS Sports Network shared four of its analysts’ current CFP projections on Twitter on Thursday, and all four named the same four teams. However, they didn’t all agree on the rankings of those four teams.

Here’s how each of the four ranked those schools in their College Football Playoff projections:

Aaron Taylor
No. 1 LSU
No. 2 Alabama
No. 3 Ohio State
No. 4 Clemson

Brian Jones
No. 1 LSU
No. 2 Ohio State
No. 3 Alabama
No. 4 Clemson

Randy Cross
No. 1 Ohio State
No. 2 LSU
No. 3 Alabama
No. 4 Clemson

Rick Neuheisel
No. 1 LSU
No. 2 Ohio State
No. 3 Alabama
No. 4 Clemson

Unless there are any unlikely upset losses, the next big game that could shake up these projections is the matchup between No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Alabama on Nov. 9. It’s more likely the Crimson Tide would drop out of the top four with a loss than the Tigers, as their strength of schedule hasn’t been as impressive.

If LSU loses to Alabama, there’s still a possibility that both SEC schools will end the season in the College Football Playoff with an opportunity to play for the national championship.
