With another week of college football in the books, bowl projections everywhere have been updated.

CBS Sports bowl expert Jerry Palm recently updated his bowl projections following the Week 10 action. He currently has nine SEC teams heading to a bowl game, led by a postseason rematch between division rivals:

  • Alabama: Peach Bowl vs. LSU (CFP semifinal)
  • Auburn: Citrus Bowl vs. Wisconsin
  • Florida: Orange Bowl vs. Wake Forest (New Year’s Six)
  • Georgia: Sugar Bowl vs. Oklahoma (New Year’s Six)
  • Kentucky: Music City Bowl vs. Virginia
  • LSU: Peach Bowl vs. Alabama (CFP semifinal)
  • Mississippi State: Liberty Bowl vs. TCU
  • Missouri: Gator Bowl vs. Michigan
  • Texas A&M: Outback Bowl vs. Minnesota

Unlike many of his peers, Palm continues to project Missouri to go bowling, even though NCAA issued a postseason ban, which MU has appealed. Most everyone expected that the NCAA would have announced its ruling on the appeal by now, but here we are, coming up on Week 11, still waiting – so Palm may be right to keep projecting the Tigers.

Palm currently projects that the SEC will not send a team to three affiliated postseason games (Birmingham Bowl, Texas Bowl, Belk Bowl). Palm is projecting no bowl bid for five SEC teams: Arkansas, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee or Vanderbilt.
