Jefferson, who has yet to make a decision on where he’ll attend college next year, is the No. 5 player in the country and No. 2 defensive end, according to 247sports’ composite rankings. Alabama is one of three schools he’s paid official visits to, with LSU and Ole Miss the others, but the five-star recruit has apparently spent more time in Tuscaloosa than just his official visit in October.
5 star DE CeCe Jefferson is headed to #Bama this weekend for unofficial visit. This will be his 8th or 9th time in Tuscaloosa he said.

Landing Jefferson, a senior at Baker County High School in Florida, would be a coup for No. 1 Alabama. The Florida Gators were considered the heavy favorite to land Jefferson earlier in the fall, but his decision now seems up in the air after Florida fired Will Muschamp. The Crimson Tide already have the top-rated class in the country, according to multiple sites’ rankings, just as they have for the past four season.
If Jefferson chooses Alabama, it would give the Crimson Tide the makings of a devastating pass rush. Last year, Alabama added five-star recruit Da’Shawn Hand. While Hand has not played much during his freshman season, but flashed enough potential to land on the SEC All-Freshman team.
