Anyone who has been on x (formerly Twitter) across the past 5 or so years has probably seen the hypothetical “high speed rail” system to connect the larger cities in the United States as an alternative to air travel.
It goes viral on social media once or twice per year at this point, it seems. Maybe this will jog your memory:

Well, this past week college football fans drew up a hypothetical “SEC football high speed rail” system to connect the 14, soon to be 16 SEC schools.

Funnily enough, a proposal such as this is actually the way to implement a high speed rail system in the United States. You could catch a Noon kickoff in College Station and hop on a train to Tuscaloosa for a 7:30 kick with ease!
