College football is constantly reminding us that kickers and punters are people too.

Northern Illinois’ Kanon Woodill showed fans why that’s true on Saturday during the Camellia Bowl. Kickers aren’t usually known as athletes, but Woodill showed off his speed on a 32-yard fake field goal score. The Huskies lined up like they were taking the field goal try then the holder flipped the ball to Woodill, and he flew down the field.

This is going to be the last game of the season for many teams around the country. So, why not bring out all your trick plays? Woodill’s teammates went nuts after he scored, rightfully so. These are the kinds of plays that will be remembered forever in the history of college football.

Woodill did his best to change the perception of special teamers everywhere. Saturday’s game is airing on ESPN, with NIU leading 21-13 at halftime.
