Chad Morris provides latest Arkansas injury update heading into season opener
The Razorbacks will hit the field on Saturday for the first time this season and will be doing so with a largely healthy team, according to Chad Morris.
The biggest question marks with his roster heading into the opener include senior offensive lineman Colton Jackson, senior tight end CJ O’Grady and true freshman receiver Trey Knox.
During his recent appearance on the SEC coaches teleconference, the Arkansas coach was asked to share the latest injury update from Fayetteville.
“Colton Jackson, for one, is back. He went through last week and practice yesterday,” Morris shared on the call. “CJ O’Grady is in green [jersey] today, which means he got reps but there wasn’t any contact. He did hit the sled a little bit yesterday. We’ll just see where he is today, I anticipate him playing. Trey Knox, again, we hope to have him back out at practice and back with us. That’s kind of our plan right now. If that changes, maybe we will get him back out there tomorrow.”
All and all, it’s good news on the injury front for the Razorbacks heading into the opener.
Arkansas opens the season at home against Portland State at 3 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.
