Interestingly enough, Arkansas and Vanderbilt are the only SEC teams that have been asked to play nine consecutive weeks without a bye. Of course, those two will meet in Fayetteville on Saturday before both get to their respective bye weeks. The break will be one both teams need to finish out the season on a high note.

Derek Mason has admitted that this week, while one look at the Arkansas injury report suggests the same can be said for the Razorbacks.

During Chad Morris’ latest media availability, the Arkansas coach was asked to give the latest update on his team’s injury update.

“Ty (Storey) was back yesterday and practiced the entire day, as he did last week, he will be back out there today and practicing,” Morris said in a YouTube video posted by PigTrailNation. “We anticipate Ty being ready to go and starting for us. Colton (Jackson) will be out there, he was in green (jersey) yesterday, he’ll be in green today but he’ll get some reps. Johnny (Gibson) the same way.”

Some question has arisen following the status of Chase Hayden following the unfortunate death of his grandmother. According to Morris, Hayden has remained with his team during this tough time but will leave to be with his family following the Vanderbilt game.

“He will play,” Morris continued. “He is here today and was here yesterday and after the game Saturday, he’ll go back and spend time with family and we’ll get him back in here Tuesday of next week.”

With Devwah Whaley sidelined with an ankle injury, Hayden had one of his best games of the Morris era against Tulsa. The sophomore running back rushed for 48 yards on nine carries and added one reception in Arkansas’ first win over an FBS opponent this season.
