Arkansas scored 14 points in the fourth quarter in a comeback that fell just short against LSU in a 24-17 loss.
But coach Chad Morris also watched his offense punt on its first six possessions, and the only points LSU allowed in the first half came after a fumble gave Arkansas the ball deep in LSU territory. The Razorbacks gained 34 yards on their first seven possessions.
The Hogs (2-8, 0-6) will play at Mississippi State next week.
Arkansas didn’t top 100 yards of total offense until 14 minutes were left in the game.
Here’s what Morris told reporters after the game:
Chad Morris, addressing the media: I thought our team fought hard. There was no quit. There was constant fight. It's been that way all year. We just needed one more stop. There was fight in these guys. That was a locker room that was hurting.

Morris on struggles in the run game: Defensively, they were very, very aggressive. Thought they had an extra hat in the box. Their linebackers played extremely well. When there was a crease, it closed really quick.

Chad Morris and Austin Cantrell will talk about him returning this offseason, but right now Cantrell is leaning towards moving to the next phase of his life, according to Morris just now. Cantrell, a redshirt junior, walked today on senior night. #wps
