Just when we thought we had a clearer picture of what was going on in the college football world after a wild Week 11, Week 12 got off to a wacky start on Thursday night as No. 5 Louisville was trounced by Houston 36-10.
Louisville QB Lamar Jackson was held to just 211 passing yards and one touchdown and added only 33 yards on the ground in the disappointing loss.
Following a week in which many thought the Cardinals deserved a top-four spot in the College Football Playoff rankings, Louisville is now decidedly out of the picture.
Now, fans are poking fun at the Alabama-Louisville title matchup that might have been:
Good job Louisville for showing the committee you deserve that top spot. Are you sure you can still give Alabama a game?

So it looks like we'll have to wait until next year to see Louisville vs. Alabama. (Sigh) ?

I wonder if @KirkHerbstreit still thinks Louisville has the best chance to beat Alabama

Week 12 has only just begun. Who knows what other top teams will fall around college football this weekend?
The question remains: Does anyone actually want to play Alabama?
