Charles Barkley has decided to remain with Turner Sports after weighing offers from NBC, Amazon and other networks.

The legendary player and analyst announced that news on The Steam Room podcast alongside Ernie Johnson on Tuesday morning.

“I’m informing NBC that I will not accept their offer,” he said. “I’m gonna cancel future meetings with Amazon … my heart is always and will be at Turner Sports.”

Here’s a clip from the podcast:

Barkley, an Auburn legend, is a longtime member of TNT’s pregame show Inside the NBA. With TNT set to lose live NBA rights beginning with the 2025-26 season, there’s been speculation that Barkley and other TNT talent could depart the company.

However, there’s also been talk of ESPN licensing Inside the NBA and keeping the popular pregame show going well into the future. Barkley, 61, said there are still things to be worked out with Turner as well as with ESPN before he commits to that project.

“I’m hoping that this thing comes together and I can stay with TNT and ESPN,” Barkley said. “But as I’ve said, it’s all going to be dictated on my workload. I’m not going to work more as I get older. I’m going to sit down with ESPN and TNT more because I just need to know, if I’m going to continue working. And that’s my only decision going forward … how much I’m gonna work.”

Barkley, TNT and ESPN still have several months to come to an agreement.
