Talk about setting high expectations.
After coming off a season that saw him record 18.5 tackles-for-loss, Missouri’s junior defensive end Charles Harris has done that and some Wednesday during SEC Media Days. Despite playing for a program which has produced some of the finest defensive linemen in recent college football history, Harris has plans on one-upping them all in 2016.
After recording seven sacks last season, Harris was asked if he had considered his potential on setting the new sack record in Columbia.
“Right now, (the sack record) is 14.5,” Harris said. “So I gotta get 15.”

The goals and aspirations for Harris didn’t stop there either, as the talented defensive playmaker envisions himself being selected in the first round of the NFL draft whenever he leaves for the professional ranks.

If Harris can indeed take his game to the next level and achieve his lofty goals, the Tigers’ defense could be even more scary than it was in 2015 when Missouri No. 2 in the SEC in both scoring and total defense.
