Charles Omenihu is coming off perhaps his best season in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers. The former Texas defensive lineman totaled 20 tackles in 2022, adding 16 QB hurries.

It doesn’t sound like much, but it was enough to earn him a new deal in Kansas City with the Chiefs. The Super Bowl champs will eb giving Omenihu a 2-year deal worth $20 million max.

Omenihu was drafted in 2019 by the Houston Texans in the 5th round. The Texans traded him to San Francisco early in the season.

Prior to the NFL, Omenihu was a star at Texas, especially in his last 2 seasons. He was a tackle for loss machine, totaling 30 TFL and 16 sacks across his 4 years in Austin. He also forced 4 fumbles and recovered 2.
