Fans call for Charlie Strong’s job at USF following embarrassing Week 1 loss

Charlie Strong and USF got off to an embarrassing start to the season Friday night.

The Wisconsin Badgers utterly destroyed the Bulls in Tampa 49-0. The Badgers racked up an impressive 433 yards and held USF to an awful 157 yards.

At one point in the third quarter down 35-0, Strong and the Bulls attempted a fake punt that almost ended in a decapitation for his poor punter.

South Florida also attempted a 43-yard field goal with two minutes left to play to avoid a shutout and missed it.

The 49-point loss was the worst loss in Strong’s head coaching career. Just midway through last season in Tampa, Strong was an impressive 16-2. Now, USF has lost seven straight games dating back to last year, the worst streak in school history.

After Week 1, Strong may sit on college football’s hottest seat after that unimpressive showing. Fans are already calling for Strong’s job:
