Chris Brazzell catches yet another TD pass to open scoring vs. UAB
Chris Brazzell has had a nose for the end zone so far in 2025 and that dazzling trend continued in Week 4 as No. 15 Tennessee got rolling at home against UAB on Saturday.
The junior wide receiver already had 5 touchdown catches this season going into Saturday’s game, which was tied for the FBS lead. Then he got to the business of adding to his total on the Volunteers’ first drive of the game.
He helped cap a 7-play, 75-yard drive with this 19-yard TD grab from Joey Aguilar that gave Tennessee a 7-0 lead just 2:04 into the game:
As it turned out, Brazzell’s latest TD connection with Aguilar was only the beginning of Tennessee’s first-quarter fireworks. The Volunteers added 2 more touchdowns before the quarter was even over, taking a 21-0 lead on defenseless UAB with still 4:01 left.
Brazzell had 3 catches for 37 yards to that point, with plenty of time to add to that total before the day was over. The Aguilar-Brazzell connection has taken college football by storm in the first 4 weeks of the season, with Tennessee licking its chops on Saturday as it tries to bounce back from last week’s overtime loss to Georgia.
With Brazzell catching more TD passes, the Vols were off and running in doing just that.
