“I’ve gone back and forth. I see the strengths of this Ole Miss team. Throwing ability. Can you get Quinshon Judkins going? The offensive line is going to be a big part of that,” Doering said. “For Alabama, I think they have the advantage in the run game. Can the defensive line for Ole Miss hold up?”
Doering is going with the Crimson Tide because of his belief in their running game.
“Give me Alabama at home. They’re going to be able to run the football,” Doering said. “This is not a game [Alabama] will lose. They’re not starting the season 0-2 in Bryant-Denny.”
Meanwhile, Burns expects Lane Kiffin to earn his first victory vs. Alabama since taking over at Ole Miss in 2020.
“Ole Miss has the 2 best quarterbacks, hell maybe 3 quarterbacks in the game…Bama coming off their worst game in 15 years. Bama’s O-line has given up 10 sacks in the last 2 years,” Burns said. “It is Lane Kiffin’s time.”
Ole Miss at Alabama is slated for 3:30 p.m. EST and will be televised on CBS.
