Chris Kiffin will be a member of Ole Miss’ coaching staff this fall, according to a report.
ESPN’s Chris Low was first to share that news on Sunday afternoon. He reports that Kiffin will be an analyst on the Rebels’ staff in 2024. He previously worked under his brother, Lane, at Florida Atlantic.
The Kiffin brothers are back together. Chris is joining older brother Lane as an analyst at @OleMissFB. Chris was Lane’s DC at FAU in 2017 and spent the past six years in the NFL. Kiffin continues to accumulate a wealth of experience, both NFL and college, on his staff.

This will be Chris Kiffin’s third stint in Oxford, but first under Lane. He was previously a graduate assistant at Ole Miss back in 2007. He also served as the program’s defensive line coach from 2012-16.
Although Chris Kiffin does have significant experience at the collegiate level, he’s spent the last few seasons in the NFL. Most recently, he worked for the Houston Texans as their linebackers coach in 2023. This is his first college job since he was Lane’s DC at Florida Atlantic in 2017.
Ole Miss has a strong stable of analysts going into the upcoming season to help support its on-field assistants. The program’s list of analysts includes former Mississippi State head coach Zach Arnett and former New York Giants head coach Joe Judge, amongst numerous others.
Ole Miss will open the 2024 season against Furman on Aug. 31. Ole Miss is currently a 42.5-point favorite over the Paladins, per the latest lines from FanDuel.
