Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica is rolling with the Tide on New Year’s Day.

Ahead of Wednesday’s Holiday Bowl, Fallica appeared on FOX to discuss some of his bowl game bets. Fallica likes No. 4 Alabama to pull off the upset as 2-point underdogs against No. 1 Michigan in the Rose Bowl, a College Football Playoff semifinal clash.

“I grabbed Alabama plus-2 points, because I thought by now Alabama would become the favorite in the game, so I’m a little surprised that they haven’t,” Fallica said. “I think this game is going to be won in the trenches whoever can control the line of scrimmage is going to do a little bit better.

“I think the way Alabama’s offensive line has evolved throughout the year… the way they were able to get a push against Georgia in the SEC Championship Game really impressed me. So I think the combination of (Jalen) Milroe, his ability to create, Alabama’s offensive line to get a little more control up front – I think Alabama wins a very close, low-scoring game.”

No. 4 Alabama and No. 1 Michigan meet on Monday. The New Year’s Day game is set for 5 p.m. ET on ESPN.
