The city of College Station has reportedly dismissed a disorderly conduct charge that was filed against Texas A&M running back Le’Veon Moss, according to Moss’s attorney.
His attorney, Cameron Reynolds, released a statement via KBTX on Thursday.
“The State of Texas, through the College Station City Attorney’s Office, after a careful and timely review, has rejected the case for prosecution, and Le’Veon is happy to have his good name cleared. We will promptly seek to expunge his arrest,” Reynolds said, per the network. “Le’Veon is a hardworking student-athlete, set to graduate from Texas A&M University in December, and looks forward to an outstanding upcoming football season for the Aggies.”
Moss was arrested last Sunday morning by College Station police. A College Station police officer saw Moss shouting at an unidentified man. Moss was also “assuming a fighting posture,” the initial police report said. Moss was released by the College Station police later on Sunday on a $300 personal bond.
The charge against the Louisiana native was classified as a Class C misdemeanor that is usually punishable with a fine of up to $500.
Moss rushed for 765 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Aggies last season, and he averaged 6.3 yards per carry. In 2023, Moss ran for 484 yards and 5 touchdowns. Moss’s first season at Texas A&M was in 2022, and he”ll be counted on heavily again this fall for Mike Elko’s team.
Elko has previously acknowledged the incident involving Moss and has stated that it would be handled internally.
