CJ Fredrick is expected to be sidelined by an injury for Kentucky’s Saturday road trip vs. Georgia.

Per Jack Pilgrim with Kentucky Sports Radio, Fredrick has sustained a cracked rib and will miss Saturday’s game as a result. Pilgrim reports Fredrick initially injured the rib last Saturday after hitting a cameraman and tried to play through the injury against Arkansas on Tuesday.

Losing Fredrick would be a big blow to the Wildcats in a game that has some big ramifications during the stretch run of the season. Fredrick is 6th on the team this season with 7.3 points per game and is shooting 33% from 3-point range.

In terms of Kentucky’s prospects for the NCAA Tournament, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has Saturday game of immense importance for the Wildcats. In his latest Bracket Math update, Lunardi has John Calipari’s squad sliding off the bubble and out of the projected field if the Wildcats were to lose to Georgia.
