Clemson defeated Virginia 48-31 on Saturday afternoon.
The win marks 6 in a row for Clemson since its season-opening loss to Georgia. The Tigers have won all 6 in dominant fashion and appear to be back on track toward competing in the ACC again this season.

Although Clemson gave up 31 points in this game, much of that production from Virginia came in garbage time. The Cavaliers scored 3 touchdowns in the fourth quarter, long after the outcome had been decided. Clemson held a 28-point lead going into the final stanza.
Through 3 quarters, Clemson held Virginia to just 3.8 yards per play. It was one of Clemson’s most impressive defensive performances of the season — especially considering that it came against former Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott.
Cade Klubnik had another strong day passing the ball. He completed 23-of-35 passes for 308 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. Phil Mafah was another big contributor offensively, scoring 2 touchdowns on the ground.
As a team, Clemson amassed 539 yards of offense in this contest. That marks the 5th time this season that Clemson has gone over the 500-yard threshold in a game.
Clemson will be idle next week before hosting Louisville in Week 10.
