Report: Cleveland Browns trading former LSU DE Barkevious Mingo

The Browns traded the former sixth overall pick to the New England Patriots, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

After recovering from a bruised lung in his rookie year of 2013, Mingo played 15 games with 42 tackles, five sacks and four passes defended. During the 2014 season, Mingo racked up 42 tackles and two sacks in 15 games.
This past offseason, Mingo reportedly gained 20 pounds of muscle for the Browns, getting to 260 pounds after playing last season at 240. On May 2, it was reported that the Browns decided not pick up his 5th year option.
