Jadeveon Clowney can’t catch a break.
After suffering multiple injuries as a rookie last season including season-ending knee surgery, Sports Radio 610 in Houston is reporting that the former No. 1 overall pick went to the local emergency room last week after he was bitten in the arm by teammate D.J. Swearinger’s dog, a pit bull.
The bite broke the skin. Clowney was treated and released.
“Animal control handled it as a standard call,” said Pearland police lieutenant Patrick Savage. “Standard procedures were followed by our humane department and the animal control officer who went out there.”
The Texans have not commented on the matter.
Last week, Swearinger, also a former South Carolina standout, was investigated for reportedly stealing his own truck after refusing to pay a bill for customization work in Houston.
