LSU has a number of injuries to deal with this season.
Head coach Ed Orgeron updated the status on a number of injuries during his press conference Monday, and the biggest hit to the Tigers is the news that safety Ed Paris will be out for the season. Paris, a senior, underwent surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.
DE Rashard Lawrence was ruled out of Saturday’s game by Coach O due to an ankle injury. RB Derrius Guice was also ruled out for Saturday’s game against Troy, but fans will have to wait and see on Guice. Guice was initially ruled out for LSU’s matchup with Syracuse, but he did in fact play in that game for the Tigers.
Bryan Lazare shared the update on a number of LSU’s injuries to Twitter, including the announcement that safety John Battle should be able to play Saturday.
#LSU S Ed Paris out for the year. Had surgery. DE Lawrence and RB Guice will not play this week. S Battle not practice, but should play.

Sheldon Mickles tweeted about the Guice dilemma:
Orgeron: Derrius Guice is out, but I thought he was going to be out last week and he played. #LSU
