Coalition at University of Alabama takes down portrait of segregationist on campus
Activists at the University of Alabama celebrated a major victory today, and it had nothing to do with football.
“We Are Done” is self-described as “a coalition of concerned students and faculty demanding that The University of Alabama seek new ways to address issues of racism and discrimination.”
The group took down a portrait of a former Confederate general-turned-grand dragon of the Ku Klux Klan, John Tyler Morgan, from Morgan Hall on the school’s campus.

As for the name Morgan Hall, the group is also pushing to do away with that.
At this time there are no plans to change the name of Morgan. However, we will continue to push for the name change. https://t.co/RYO5qRLjII
