Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson McCall ended the 2021 season with the record for highest passing efficiency among FBS quarterbacks, in a year where he threw for 2,873 yards and 27 touchdowns versus just 3 interceptions while completing 73 percent of his passes.

That led him to make a move up NFL Draft boards as the sophomore was eligible to declare following his 3rd season with the program. But there was the possibility of a return to Conway for a final season with the Chanticleers.

On Tuesday, McCall announced his decision on Twitter, and it was good news for Chants fans: he would be back with the program in 2022. But it wasn’t so much the fact that he announced his return than it was how he announced it, as you can see below:

”I am coming back to play another year of college football and it will be in Conway, South Carolina,” McCall wrote. “When I say I piss teal, I mean it.”

That’s certainly one way to describe it, to say the least. Either way, if 2022 turns out to be as successful as 2021 was for McCall or even more so, it will have definitely been worth coming back.
