Cody Schrader now has a Missouri program record to his name following his Cotton Bowl performance.

Friday night, Schrader led the Tigers with 128 rushing yards and a touchdown on 29 carries. Starting quarterback Brady Cook would receive the Offensive MVP award from the 14-3 win over Ohio State, but it was the work of Schrader that helped keep the offense on track and set the stage for the dramatic 4th quarter.

In the process, Schrader toppled Missouri’s single-season record for rushing yards. That mark was previously set by Tyler Badie with 1,604 rushing yards in the 2021 season.

Schrader entered the bowl game with 1,499 yards, giving him 1,627 after his performance against the Buckeyes. Not bad, to say the least.

Schrader also finishes the season with 14 rushing touchdowns and 191 receiving yards. He finished 8th in Heisman Trophy voting this season after a number of special outings, eclipsing 100+ rushing yards 9 times and 200+ yards twice.
