As much as SEC teams have started to open up their offenses in recent years, much still rides on the big guys up front.
The conference is still home to some of the nation’s best offensive linemen, and SEC Network analyst Cole Cublic took to Twitter on Thursday to recognize his top three performers at the position from Week 5.
My top 3 individual @SEC OL performances of week 5:
1) Lamont Gaillard
@FootballUGA2) Ross Pierschbacher @AlabamaFTBL
3) Bunchy Stallings @UKFootball

All three are interior linemen who helped pave the way for potent rushing attacks that totaled 195 yards or more on the ground last week.
Georgia senior center Lamont Gaillard helped the No. 2 Bulldogs rush for an even 5 yards per carry in the team’s 38-12 win against Tennessee, while Alabama senior center Ross Pierschbacher aided in the No. 1 Crimson Tide’s 56-14 victory against Louisiana by paving the way for 268 rushing yards.
Bunchy Stallings, No. 13 Kentucky’s senior right guard, opened up holes for bruising running back Benny Snell as the Wildcats defeated South Carolina 24-10.
