Cole Cubelic’s takeaways for every SEC team are a Sunday tradition in the conference community.
For Week 6, Cubelic was back to sharing his thoughts for all 14 teams. The Week 6 Saturday slate was made up of 7 conference games for the first time all season, with no SEC teams on bye weeks.
Here’s what the SEC Network analyst had to say about every conference team’s Saturday performance:
ARKANSAS: Tough deal having to change plan on off. Just not as capable with other 2 QBs. 4 dynamic need balance. Flags & To’s hurt. Had to get to QB. Allowed easy throws to gain to many yards. Not a great tackling day. Didn’t get off blocks vs run. Beat up & not getting easier.

FLORIDA: QB got some easy throws early. Need consistency. OL struggled w/2nd level. 2 so solid. Just helpful in every facet. 7 adds juice. Like more unbalanced looks. Never felt in rhythm. 1 can be big, blocks well. 51 makes def different. 33 can play. Attacked mesh point well.

KENTUCKY: With Levis out really felt like that was a MUST stick to the plan game; run it, shorten game, don’t allow explosives. That went sideways early. WRs getting banged up really hurt. OL struggled. 3rd down rough. Wanted to see more quick game to get 12 comfy. 5 & 15 strong!

MISSISSIPPI STATE: QB just dialed in. Not allowing a sack to that group is impressive. Loved how OL came off the ball in run game. 57/58 brought the nasty. Just a little more dedication to it has made a huge difference. WRs made tough grabs & blocked well. Big game from 2 on def.

OLE MISS: Had the quick game going early. QB looking more comfy. Gotta clean up snaps. 57 violent in pass pro. 1 out of his mind! OL didn’t strain as well in run game. 0 really makes so much go for them. 11 brings it on def. Love how off not overly reliant on a single guy.

TENNESSEE: Not many flaws you will find in this one. Massive road win. Confidence looks to be growing more & more! Pace & formations caused major problems. QB is in the zone. Run game clean. OL GATA, 76 fun to watch. Big game for Bru. Did not take foot off the gas. Front 7 great

VANDERBILT: Hung around. Showed grit. Got off blocks vs run. Need more pass rush. 90 got push at times. Let quick hitters be big gains. 0 did nice things on def. 13 active. Love how 2 runs the ball, great with cut backs. Took 1 on 1’s, Got 16 going! 13 growing, you can see it.
