You know it’s college football season when kickers are out here obliterating return men.

That happened Saturday in the first college football game of the year between Colgate and Villanova. With the Wildcats leading the Raiders, Colgate kickoff man Chris Puzzi destroyed Villanova return man Dez Boykin.

Puzzi saw Boykin streaking down the sideline, and he de-cleated Boykin using the sideline as a defender. Puzzi is listed at 6-2, 215 pounds, which isn’t the normal size for kickers. Boykin is listed at 5-10, 190 pounds.

Watch this hit:

Villanova leads Colgate 34-14, and if all stays like this, the Wildcats are en route to a 1-0 start.

Colgate’s Puzzi, however, won’t forget this hit.
