Colin Cowherd did not show any mercy toward Florida State after the Noles’ lackluster offensive performance in the first half vs. Louisville.

FSU is playing with true freshman quarterback Brock Glenn under center due to a rash of QB injuries, and the early returns have not been good. FSU’s offense averaged just 2.3 yards per play in the first half — good for just 80 total yards.

Florida State had 7 drives before the break. Only 2 of them lasted more than 5 plays and the Noles didn’t pick up a first down until their 5th drive of the game.

At halftime, Cowherd said he would “eliminate” FSU from Playoff consideration — and any televised bowl game, for good measure.

Florida State’s offense was better than this a week ago in the Swamp with Tate Rodemaker under center. Rodemaker is missing this game due to a concussion, but the Noles would likely have their veteran quarterback back in time for the postseason.

If FSU does win on Saturday night, it would be 13-0 on the season. However, given Jordan Travis’ absence, the Noles may not be a lock for the College Football Playoff. Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Washington and Texas also remain in consideration for a CFP berth.

The final College Football Playoff rankings will be revealed on Sunday at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN.
