Colin Cowherd is an unabashed supporter of the USC Trojans and is all-in on the Lincoln Riley era in Los Angeles.
So, when the FOX personality saw that new Oklahoma coach Brent Venables and the Sooners lost 49-0 to the Texas Longhorns in the Red River Rivalry on Saturday, he came to the defense of Riley.
As you can see below, Cowherd called out Oklahoma fans who thought Venables would be an upgrade over Riley with a strongly worded tweet:
Imagine thinking, in the era of offensive football, Brent Venables was an upgrade over @LincolnRiley. Sooner fans truly believed it.

Cowherd has been a strong promoter of the idea that, in this modern era of football, teams need offensive-minded head coaches, both at the college and pro levels.
For the record, entering Week 6, USC is undefeated, while Oklahoma has now lost 3 games in a row. Cowherd will likely be discussing that coaching disparity in depth this coming week.
