Colin Hurley’s family has released a statement updating his condition following a car accident he was involved in early Thursday morning in Baton Rouge.

Hurley was reportedly found “unresponsive but breathing” after his car crashed into a tree near LSU’s campus at approximately 2:45 a.m.

Hurley’s family thanked first responders and the medical professionals who are now taking care of the LSU quarterback. While there are still tests to be administered, Hurley’s family says he’s in “stable” condition and they are “confident” he will make a full recovery.

Here’s the full statement, obtained by ESPN’s Pete Thamel:

Colin would like to thank the first responders, the incredible doctors and nurses at Our Lady of the Lake Health and the many Tiger Fans for their care and compassion. Colin is resting and is stable while more tests and care are being administered. We are confident that Colin will make a full recovery from this terrible accident.

Geaux Tigers!

The Hurley Family

Specific details regarding the accident or Colin Hurley’s condition have not been shared at this time.

Hurley just completed his true freshman season at LSU. He did not play for the Tigers this past fall as he took a redshirt season. Hurley signed with the Tigers as a 4-star prospect in the class of 2024.
