Colin Hurley plans to arrive at LSU in January, he said Wednesday afternoon.
Hurley shared that news with Saturday Down South’s Matt Hayes on 1010XL in Jacksonville:
Trinity Christian QB @ColinHurley tells @1010XL he will enroll early at @LSUfootball in January. He will be 16 years old. Will be 17 two months later. #geauxtigers

It’s not unusual for a quarterback to enroll early, but the fact that Hurley will be 16 years old when he arrives at LSU does make him an outlier. Per Hayes, Hurley will turn 17 within his first couple months on campus.
Hurley, a Jacksonville native, has been committed to LSU since November of 2022. He was originally a member of the 2025 recruiting class, but re-classified to 2024 at the end of last season.
Hurley is regarded as one of the top quarterback prospects in the country. He’s the No. 315 overall player and the No. 19 quarterback in the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Earlier this summer, Hurley was a participant in the Elite 11 Finals. He now turns his attention to his senior season at Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville. Hurley is listed at 6-foot, 213 pounds.
