Christmas is now in the rearview, and fans will be treated to a trio of bowl games on Tuesday.
The day starts with the Quick Lane Bowl at 2 p.m. ET, followed by the First Responder Bowl at 5:30 p.m. ET, then the Guaranteed Rate Bowl to close things out at 9 p.m. ET.
Bowling Green and Minnesota meet at Ford Field in Detroit. The Golden Gophers are one of the few 5-7 teams taking part in bowl season thanks to Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors hit a game-winning field goal against Colorado State in the regular season finale. The Rams finished 5-7, making Minnesota the highest ranked APR 5-7 team.
Then, a pair of Texas teams head to Dallas. Rice and Texas State will be playing each other for the 1st time since 1987 in the 5th meeting between the programs all-time. This means a lot to the Bobcats, as it will be their 1st bowl game in program history. It’s the 1st time since 2014 that Texas State has finished the regular season at 7-5, however it wasn’t chosen for a bowl game that year. Rice is in its 2nd straight bowl game, coming in at 6-6.
Lance Leipold continues to build Kansas’ football program up as the Jayhawks come into the Guaranteed Rate Bowl at 8-4. Kansas will have its 2nd consecutive bowl appearance since 2007-2008.
UNLV won’t have to travel too far, with the game being played in Phoenix, Arizona. The Rebels are coming off a loss in the Mountain West Championship to Boise State.
Here’s the bowl schedule for all of Tuesday’s bowl games. Every game will be shown on ESPN/ESPN+.
