College football fans, media react to Alabama’s Playoff hopes being dashed with loss at LSU

LSU has all but extinguished any chances of Alabama making the College Football Playoff. The Tigers still have 2 losses on the season so they are unlikely to make it themselves.

They did play upset, though, causing opposing fan bases fighting for a playoff spot to sing their praises. Tennessee, Oregon and TCU fans come to mind immediately.

Plus, everyone loves to hate the team that has been there so often, right? Alabama seems to be a mainstay in the 4-team field, this at the very least ensures some variety.

There is still a lot of football to be played across the next 3 weeks. People may be thanking LSU for some time.

Fans of schools around the nation took to social media to thank the Tigers following their 32-31 win over the Crimson Tide.
