College football fans react to unusual throwing motion by Long Island QB

Long Island quarterback Chris Howell has one of the strangest throwing motions you will ever see.

Howell’s Sharks took on Baylor Saturday and fell 30-7, far from an unexpected result. Our buddy Howell did not have the greatest game, completing just 4 of 10 passes for 41 yards and a pair of interceptions while adding 29 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

His throwing motion is a cross between a sidearm throw and an underhand pitch. It’s unlike any motion you’ll ever see. The closest example of relevance would be Phillip Rivers, but even that doesn’t quite compare.

Howell did not start the season at QB for the Sharks. The freshman from Queens instead took over for Luca Stanzani, who was hurt in LIU’s loss to Bryant earlier this season.

Football fans from around the country are just in awe of Howell’s throwing motion, which in the play above resulted in his longest receiving connection of the season thus far.
