College football fans react to crazy Music City Bowl between Tennessee and Purdue

The Music City Bowl will prove to be one of the most entertaining bowl games of the postseason between Tennessee and Purdue.

Heading into the 4th quarter, Tennessee led 31-30. The game, at that time, remained somewhat tame. Then, things got crazy.

Purdue and Tennessee traded touchdowns during the fourth quarter in remarkable fashion. The teams recorded 406 yards of combined offense. With under 5 minutes left in the game, Purdue scored a 62-yard touchdown to take the 38-31 lead, and the Vols then scored a quick touchdown to tie the game at 38. Purdue scored next a 70-yard touchdown, and Tennessee answered with a 2-yard passing touchdown.

The Boilermakers and Volunteers scored 4 touchdowns in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. Regulation ended at 45-45 before overtime.

Purdue ended up beating Tennessee 48-45 in overtime, as the game ended on controversial fashion for the Vols.

It was the highest scoring game in Music City Bowl history with a combined 93 points.
