Much of the football world is paying attention to the NFL regular-season kickoff game between the Los Angles Rams and Buffalo Bills, but there is college football being played. Those following the college game got treated to an awesome big-man kick return.

In FCS action, Bobby Petrino’s Missouri State squad is taking on UT Martin in a game airing on ESPN+. Missouri State’s Siale Suliafu is listed on the team roster as a 6-foot, 298-pound defensive lineman. Suliafu does more than just tackle, though.

Suliafu got his hands on a kickoff and turned it into an impressive 34-yard return. ESPN shared video of the return, which led to a 5-play, 41-yard touchdown drive for the Bears.

Suliafu’s Missouri State bio notes that as a freshman he excelled on special teams, returned kickoffs and played fullback with action in all 12 games. The 2021 stats show Suliafu had 3 kick returns for 19 yards with a long of 10.

Missouri State and UT Martin are currently tied 21-21 in the third quarter.
