The SEC could be looking at 12 teams playing in postseason bowls. That’s the latest projection from CBS Sports expert Jerry Palm.

In his most recent projections, Palm has all conference teams except LSU (self-imposed postseason ban) and Vanderbilt going bowling. The field includes many teams below .500 because of the NCAA waiving bowl eligibility requirements for 2020.

Palm has the SEC getting just one team, Alabama. making the College Football Playoff. He has three other SEC teams (Florida, Georgia and Texas A&M) making New Year’s Six bowl games. Palm projects the Aggies will travel to Florida while the Gators would travel to Texas. It will be interesting to see if the SEC or CFP committee steps in to switch that in a season in which teams have tried to limit travel.

Here are the CBS Sports bowl projections for 12 SEC teams:

Alabama

Sugar Bowl (CFP semifinal) vs. No. 4 Notre Dame

Texas Bowl vs. TCU
