It’s never too early to bet on the upcoming college football season.

The 2019 college football season may have ended just one month ago but we’ve already got new odds to win the 2020 College Football Playoff national championship from USA TODAY Sports’ veteran handicapper Danny Sheridan.

According to the longtime sports handicapper, while Clemson and Ohio State currently have the best odds to win it all next season, the SEC has five teams listed among the top eight teams pegged to win it all in 2020.

Sheridan shared his thoughts on the 2020 College Football Playoff odds on Twitter.

Here are the odds Sheridan gives each program to win the national title next season:

Clemson 3:1

Ohio State 4:1

Alabama 5:1

Georgia 10:1

LSU 15:1

Florida 20:1

Oklahoma 25:1

Auburn 30:1

What’s interesting about those odds is that the reigning league winners from the ACC, Big Ten and Big 12 are represented but no other teams from those leagues or elsewhere are represented. Meanwhile, all the SEC’s preseason favorites are listed.

Even when it comes to the betting line, it just means more.
