Now that the preseason AP Poll has been released, we know how many games each SEC team has against ranked opponents this season.

In a surprise to no one, the SEC West is absolutely brutal once again, with three teams facing five ranked squads and every team facing at least three ranked foes.

As you can see in the list below, Florida leads the SEC East with four games against top-25 teams:

  • Auburn — 5
  • LSU — 5
  • Texas A&M — 5
  • Arkansas — 4
  • Florida — 4
  • Ole Miss — 4
  • Tennessee — 4
  • Alabama — 3
  • Mississippi State — 3
  • Georgia — 2
  • Kentucky — 2
  • Mizzou — 2
  • South Carolina — 2
  • Vanderbilt — 2

The SEC East isn’t quite as tough, with only one ranked squad (Georgia) and five teams playing only two top-25 squads this season.

Which teams will be able to navigate their schedules and turn in solid seasons? Only time will tell.
