The folks in the desert are back to seeing eye-to-eye with the leading polls. Georgia, ranked No. 1 by the College Football Playoff selection committee and the AP Top 25, is the top-ranked team in Phil Steele’s Vegas Ratings entering Saturday’s Week 11 SEC games.

Steele has published weekly in-season Vegas Power Ratings since his time at ESPN. He’s now independent but maintains his connections with sportsbook handicappers at multiple Las Vegas casinos. Steele now posts the Vegas Ratings on his website.

Entering Week 10, Steele’s Vegas Ratings ranked Alabama No. 2, Georgia No. 3 and Tennessee No. 4. Now, Vegas handicappers have the Bulldogs tied with Ohio State for No. 1 overall.

Steele notes that the difference in 2 teams’ Vegas Ratings gives an idea of what the opening betting line would be if they met on a neutral field. Georgia and Ohio State would each be favored over any other opponent on a neutral field.

Here’s where the 14 SEC teams stand heading into Week 11 in the SEC:

  • No. 1 Georgia (138.95 Vegas Rating)
  • No. 3 Alabama (134.81)
  • No. 5 Tennessee (130.28)
  • No. 7 LSU (123.19)
  • No. 13 Ole Miss (120.54)
  • No. 18 Mississippi State (119.20)
  • No. 20 Arkansas (118.96)
  • No. 25 Kentucky (117.20)
  • No. 31 Florida (115.33)
  • No. 50 Texas A&M (111.54)

The Vegas Power Ratings for all 131 FBS teams can be found on Steele’s website.
