College football is back, as Week 0 has gotten underway. There are just a handful of games this weekend, but fans are excited simply to have the sport back on their televisions.

The New Mexico Lobos aren’t in action this weekend, but they still managed to make waves on social media after unveiling new turquoise jerseys that pay respect to Lobo teams of the past.

Fans have made it known on social media what they think of the new jerseys, and it is safe to say they have been an instant hit with college football fans.

This isn’t the first time that New Mexico has rocked this color, but it is the first time since the 1979 season. Jerseys are an extremely popular aspect of the sport, and having so many fans across the country like them is definitely great PR for the Lobos.

The team hasn’t announced when they will be rocking those jerseys, but fans across the country are definitely going to want to check them out. The Lobos get the 2025 season started in Week 1 when they travel to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan on Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
