ESPN’s College GameDay is in Norman, Oklahoma this week for the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State “Bedlam” rivalry game. GameDay is once again going the basketball route for celebrity guest picker. The show announced Saturday morning that Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young would be joining the GameDay crew to pick Saturday’s games.

Young played at Oklahoma in 2017-18 and was named first-team All-Big-12, consensus first-team All-American and Big 12 Freshman of the Year. After OU’s exit from the NCAA Tournament, Young declared for the 2018 NBA Draft.

He was selected No. 5 overall in the first round by the Dallas Mavericks but was traded to Atlanta. With the Hawks, Young was named NBA All-Rookie first team in 2019 and an NBA All-Star this past season.

On the gridiron, Young’s alma mater is 5-2 overall on a four-game winning streak.
