College GameDay will come to Athens in Week 8, with a big-time SEC showdown between Ole Miss and Georgia waiting.

The Rebels are still unbeaten and the Bulldogs are coming off a massive road win over Auburn on Saturday night, and now College GameDay will descend upon Athens for a celebration of football and music. Yes, there will be plenty of music as part of this Saturday morning’s show, and it’ll have a country flavor to it.

The College GameDay social media account released a 31-second hype video of sorts on Sunday morning to announce that country music stars Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs will perform live on the show. Combs is from North Carolina and Zimmerman was born in Illinois, but this Saturday morning they will be all about Georgia and all about Athens.

Here is the GameDay post announcing the big news about the pair performing live:

The 35-year-old Combs has been around the scene for a while, performing since 2014. Meanwhile, the 25-year-old Zimmerman has been performing since 2020, and he also brings a country rock and Southern rock style.

Both of them will give the popular Saturday morning pregame show a burst of energy a few hours before the Rebels and Bulldogs kick it off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
