College GameDay was in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium Saturday morning to preview a big day of bowl games that will be capped by the Peach Bowl clash between No. 1 Georgia and No. 4 Ohio State. The winner of the College Football Playoff semifinal game will move on to the CFP National Championship.

Saturday’s show included a brief picks segment. There was no guest picker for the New Year’s Eve show. Kirk Herbstreit is on the call for the game and did not make a Georgia-Ohio State pick. Host Rece Davis also does not make GameDay picks.

Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Lee Corso picked the game. The final tally was 2-1 in favor of Georgia.

Howard led things off by picking UGA. McAfee shared high praise of Ohio State and teased an upset pick, but feels the Bulldogs will come through with the boost of playing in the Peach State. Corso stuck by his earlier pick of OSU to pull the upset.

  • Howard: Georgia
  • McAfee: Georgia
  • Corso: Ohio State

We’ll see how those picks fare in a few hours. The game is set for 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
